Are Smart Mattresses Worth Your Hard-Earned Bucks?

smart mattresses

You might have already seen the hype around smart beds. But what are they? How much do they cost? And are they worth your hard-earned money?

Well, these are the questions that will be answered in this content piece.

I was struggling with sleeplessness, and tried to get rid of it using multiple methods I read about online. One of the methods was using the smart beds. I tried multiple of them, but never really understood if they’re worth it or not.

If you sail the same boat (struggle with sleeplessness), let me share a transparent overview of them, so that you can make a sound purchase decision.

What Are Smart Mattresses?

To put it in simple words, smart mattresses are designed for tech-savvy people with sleep problems.

Now, some people might say that these mattresses are just a gimmick to have you spend your hard-earned money. But that is not entirely true. They are good, and they help people with sleeplessness.

Now, a smart mattress is highly adaptable. I mean, if you like to sleep on a cold bed, it can dial down the temperature. If you like your mattress to be a little stiff, it can turn a little stiff.

It varies by brand, but they are pretty smart. They come with a whole bunch of sensors that can detect your snoring, your heartbeat, and stuff like that.

They generally need an internet connection and a mobile app to display the data, so that you can analyze your sleep better. I am saying this with experience, and to make sure that there are no problems with the internet connection, I use Xfinity Internet.

It is one of the better internet providers in the US that offers bilingual Xfinity Servicio al Cliente for Spanish speakers like me in the US, affordable plans, and so much more.

On top of sensors, they come with built-in temperature control. You can use the app to set the temperature or leave it to the AI. You heard it right, AI. Smart mattresses are powered by AI, so that they can make decisions on their own.

For example, my mattress will reduce the temperature for the first half an hour, and when I am in a state of deep sleep, the temperature increases a bit for a more relaxing sleep. It does it all on its own, and I love this feature.

Behind the scenes, it is the AI that is making things happen. The bottom line is that smart mattresses are not a gimmick. They actually help with better sleep.

How Much Does a Smart Mattress Cost?

At this point, you’re probably sold. But there’s one burning question in your mind. How much do they cost?

They are generally a luxury thing, and they cost around $3000 – $4000, depending on the features and the brand you are going for. I know it is quite expensive, but it comes with a bunch of great features.

I saw one the other day, and it had that anti-snore feature. This feature is basically a couple of sound sensors that are designed to detect the sound of snoring. If your partner snores loudly while sleeping, you can turn the headrest a bit up for a better flow of air. Isn’t that cool?!

Again, the price might vary, but you will definitely find some cheaper options during the sales season. As I write this, it is the sales season. I have seen some discounts on Amazon. But don’t expect too much, because you will be losing around $2,500, even when it is on the discount.

Are Smart Mattresses Worth It?

Now, let’s come to the main question: are those smart mattresses worth your money?

Well, I have to say some cliché stuff at this point. A good night’s sleep matters a lot. It keeps you healthy and fresh. I have long struggled with sleeplessness, and I know how bad it feels. I felt tired the whole day, and it got worse when I had to juggle between my work and my full-time dad life.

So, I needed the fix.

If you are in a similar situation and you want to improve your sleep, you should give smart mattresses a shot. They have helped me improve my sleep, and I am sure that they can help you too.

I believe that in a few years, at least in the US, they will become common and their prices will decrease further.
